Rubio Monocoat Sealer 707 is a specially formulated water-based wood finish based on a hybrid polyurethane polymer dispersion.
Rubio Monocoat Sealer 707 has been developed for sealing charred wood finishes, like Shou Sugi Bahn, to prevent the release of carbon. As an effective natural wood sealer, the product seriously reinforces the brittle surfaces and highly increases how it handles.

Sealer 707 is preferably applied in two layers using a spray or curtain coater. While applying a single layer is possible, it is crucial to ensure thorough saturation of the wood boards in such cases. Although application by brush is an option, it is not recommended due to the potential risk of damaging the charred and brittle boards.
